Spit tests... No big deal, right?

So I got this new job and right at the end of the interview it was mentioned that they will be administering a spit test the first day of work, and then randomly for the rest of my employment. I know nothing about spit tests, but I have a feeling it's not much to worry about unless I smoke RIGHT before going into work (like within 6 hours of the test).

Does anyone know anything about them?

they gave me a cotton swap it were they stick this salty fancy q tip in your mouth an send it off 2 tha lab

first time i ever incountered it cuaght me off guard , fail ed

friend told me 24 hrs an brush your teeth 5 times an you should be good

my friend passed one with a breath mint in his mouth but i doubt that works every time

I'm sure rinsing with mouthwash is the best thing, because the alcohol would strip away more thc than anything else.

I took one and washed 3 times with listerine prior to be administered, aced.
