Strain Identification

A question for the experienced growers.

Is it, at any time of the plants life, possible to tell the strain?
Wondering if there may be tell-tale signs to look for.

Not unless you know something about the linage.
You can pretty much tell if its Sativa or Indica or a Hybrid sometimes but there are thousands of strain's and crosses. I suggest you name it yourself and move on.
Another words just because its purple doesnt mean its Grandaddy Purple if you catch my drift.

I do know she's female and you can smell it all over the patio

Awesome. I remember growing some seeds i found in some good dank. Didnt know what strain it was so i named it RC Cola. The first two letters R and C is mine and the Wifes 1st letters in our 1st names,,the Cola because they were huge. I cloned it several times.

the only flavor that’s easily identified that comes to my mind is the one thats webbed footed..

otherwise it’s a guess...

there are some diesels out there that with one whiff it’s obvious what strain it came from...

smell is important in the identitying process

Some ducksfoot....I believe it’s originally from Hawaii?
