that OG and Peyote look killer!

What are the smells like?

Funny you ask……I always struggle with coming up with smell descriptors. I’m so inexperienced that they all just smell similar to me. I’ll pay more attention when I open the tent tomorrow and see if I can differentiate between the strains.

it takes some practice , just like wine smelling and tasting

this chart may help

Hello and welcome to “Harvest Day” for the Seedsman Purple Ghost Candy. One of three plants remaining to harvest before I close this journal. My initial observations on this strain is that she is the most potent cannabis that I’ve ever grown….I’m glad I stepped away from my normal seed provider and experimented. Two nice hits this morning before harvest…..next thing I know my head is hanging in the Trim Bin and I’m starting to nap. LOL. Wow! I plan to save this for evenings as this isn’t what I expected from a Sativa. I’m definitely picking up a grape smell….not much else that I can identify by smell.

I believe the Lucas formula I mixed was great for my indicas but it was a little “rich” for this Sativa strain. After doing more reading, it appears that Sativas require less nutrients than indicas. I should have started diluting these nutes sooner……I’ll live and learn from my mistakes.

All things considered, I’m very pleased. She’s been hand trimmed and is hanging in a basket in a 2x2 tent to dry. I plan to do another smoke test tonight. I will definitely grow this strain again…..and SCROG her.

Another update probably next weekend if I harvest the Godfather OG or LA Peyote Kush.

New seedlings started this week too….I’ll probably start a new journal for these. I want to use an Octopot on these plants and experiment with the sub irrigated feeders.

There is a little more to this amp than being loud, I rarely play it without headphones because my wife also complains.
Included screenshots show some of the features of the PG app that is installed on my phone. This allows backing tracks and educational content to be played through the amp via Bluetooth.
Notice, chord changes are displayed while you play along.
I can pull up Marty music YouTube on my phone, play it through the amp via Bluetooth, and play along with Marty, all while wearing headphones, and not irritating the wife.
Wait, there’s more!
The amp is also the best stand alone Bluetooth speaker you can find, even if your wife doesn’t appreciate your musical prowess, she will still love having a quality speaker to pair her phone to and listen to canned music.
My wife loves having mine at camp during the summer.

You sold me on the Spark @Flower! I watched a few YouTube videos and then saw them on sale this week at Positive Grid. What a great way to practice. My birthday gift has been ordered.

My instructor has me learning 2 finger power chords on the low e string for Smoke on the Water. I think this app will drive more practice time.

Now I need to look into some good headphones.

And here is a quick update on the seedlings for the diary. This is Lemonade Haze (bottom row) and GG4 (top row) seedlings from Ganja Farmer. I soaked the seeds in RO water with Seaweed extract, ph’d to 6.5 for 36 hours. 4/6 seeds sprouted in the water before planting. The other two sprouted later in the soil. Net, all 6 seeds have sprouted…but I’m only planning to grow 2. I’m trying coco coir this grow.

I moved them to a tent yesterday with a humidifier and oscillating fan. Light is at 18” above the seedlings at 30% intensity. Target 75 degrees and 75% humidity.

Let’s start a band 😜. Looking good T-dub

ALMOST ready for harvest with the last two plants. I’m giving each plant until the weekend I think….feeding reduced nutrients but not starving them. Trichomes look cloudy and I’m almost tempted to harvest today….but waiting a few days can’t hurt. Saturday will be the end of ten weeks of flower.

Here is the LA Peyote Kush as of today. Her colas are starting to bend over from the weight.

And the Godfather OG

Time for a quick update as I close out this grow. Two plants left….and they smell fantastic!

I could still change my mind, but I’m planning to harvest the LA Peyote Kush tomorrow. Trichomes look ready, and the smell of the two remaining plants is overwhelming the house. I still can’t identify the specific terpenes smell, but I’m picking up “lemon”. One of my charcoal filters is definitely failing. Thankful for Ona gel.

Weather here is cold and I need something to do tomorrow indoors, so why not harvest. I have her sitting in a dark tent now and I will harvest her tomorrow in the dark (under green lights). This is the end of 10 weeks of flower (10 weeks since I flipped to 12/12). The Godfather OG will be harvested next week at 11 weeks and with a little more amber than this.

And a few trichome shots from the buds.

And the new Ganja Farmer plants. I’m only planning to keep two of them (one GG4 and one Lemonade Haze). So I transplanted the largest from solo cups to one gallon containers with coco coir. I’d like to grow more than 2, but I have humidity issues in summer with more than two plants. I hope to get these moved into Octopots in 2 weeks.
