I am having same trouble this yr. as last with Termites.
Ive already lost several to them .
i been googling and seems this is becoming a real pain for us outdoor growers.
I havent found anything as of yet to rid my plot from them.

Plants will get head high and be beautiful, then suddenly the bigger fan leaves on the bottom starts dying and work upward.
Stalk will be very weak at ground level.
The termites come up the root system into the stalk.
Once infested the plant is usually dead before you know what happened.
Every one ive pulled thats died, has had em in the stalks.

Anyone know a solution ? as ive tried most insectisides thats safe without any luck.
Imo, the ground must be treated before planting as ive never had any luck saving the first one yet that was infested.

ive also tried diffrent areas for plots, but same thing, theyre everywhere.

There is only one thing that will organically keep termites away from your plants, that I have found. Diatomaceous earth. Basically ground coral. Mix it in with the soil you are going to grow in. Make sure it is as deep as your root system. I lost a big patch several years ago, due to termites. I have not lost any, to termites, since I started using Diatomaceous earth.

Best of luck bro.

Thanks, good to hear this, i have read about the DE.
have you ever been able to save any thats infested ?
any info, tips, etc.. appreciated.

been reading more, it states the DE can be mixed with water as a spray, but wont kill until it has dried.

would it work to spray around the plant and soak the root area ?
