I took my road test in a station wagon during a major snowstorm got stuck on ice during the 3 point turn, and still passed the 1st time.

I took my road test on my Fathers F100 4wd power nothing that had a turning radius where you were just barely able to do a uturn on the long island exp. I passed. That was a big truck then now its F150) to a F550 or more if you count commercial
I took my road test in my first car 1969 Chevy Nova. I flew over one of those speed bump things slamming the guy with the clipboards head into my headliner and still passed. I thought it was my lucky day
Got my motorcycle license first. Rode it to school and work. Kawasaki 175.
Got my learners permit in a Mazda Station Wagon. My first date was in that car. It was brand new. Had a rotary engine. Car was fast as h.ell. I was shitten in high cotton.

Took mine in a '68 Chevy Impala. Simple test in Mt. Morris. Passed first time. Wish I had that old boat back. Lot of really good memories.

My first license was a agricultural, got it at 14 years old. Spent most of my time on a tractor or a 2 1/2 ton grain truck with Air brakes and a 2 speed differential. Don't remember taking the test as it was 58 years ago.

Now I know why. I took Drivers Ed in school. Took the test there.
We took drivers Ed in high school but had to go to the DMV to ride around with “the guy” to get the license. I was just really lucky that day. Maybe it was the tears building up in my eyes after that f-up Driving like a crazy girl over that speed bump.
I will always remember the favor Mr DMV guy. I still love you

A friend of mines daughter works for motor vehicle giving road tests. Obvious its not just 16 y/o kids and many getting their lic back.
She said sometimes they would getshitty with her and BAM the cops jump in and stop any crap
