LOL--you may want to trim plants up a bit, but defoliating means to remove all the leaves...you do not want to do that. The big fan leaves are where the huge bulk of the photosynthesis takes place. If you remove the leaves, you are removing the little factories that make the plant grow.

New grow, let us know what you end up with...I let mine grow natural but ended up cleaning them up.
