65-70 deg is fine at night.
You should be using Ph adj water, doesnt have to be distilled.

Great question about watering,

If you use distilled you lose all the minerals that are in the water. I like to aerate a cool 55 gal drum. Aerating gets rid of the chlorines and the chloramines, after that I like to create my own teas. Go light and easy, or you risk nitrogen burns etc. etc....

I have found with soil growing that messing with the waters PH creates more problems than it is worth. If your PH is close to 7, you should be fine. It should be a little lower, but when you add your nutes it usially goes down to the proper level, especially with Phospherous.

rain water I find is the best. But since we are in November I melt the snow at room temp and let it warm up before I use it. Cold water could shock the roots.
