I'm growing in soil and my tap water is pH 7.5 EC 0.5, which usually ends up as pH 6.3 after adding nutes. When I just water, I have to add pH down.
I recently installed a dehumidifier because the tent humidity was sticking around 80% and it collects a lot of water that looks very clear. It is a condenser dehumidifier. The humidity is now 50-60%.
I checked the water and it is pH 8.1 and EC 0.
It makes enough water for me to use to feed and water my plants so I was thinking if this was a good idea? Would its pH go down naturally after a few days?
It seems like a convenient by-product that I could use and since the EC is 0, it should be fairly pure water. I just wonder why the pH is so high and if it could harm the plants.
Is it safe to drink?
