Funny you mentioned jerky. I've had some cut up sizzle steaks marinating in the 'fridge for two days. Hauled 'em out this morning and stuffed 'em in the dehydrator. Makes the house smell yummy.

Nothing like jerky. You can eat it all day long and never get tired of it. The problem around here is the neighbors can smell when I smoke it and become real close friends about that time.

Kinda like when you were in school and either pulled out a gun or a pack of gum; everybody wants to be friends.
To the porch, I say.
We have our closest friend over this evening, the white Crocs is his daughter.
She has 7 months left, out of a four year stent in the military.
She is the daughter, everyone on here would be proud of.
She is a military prison guard, stationed in Leavenworth, Kansas.
I will just leave this here as a shout out, to the kids, that I hope, will be leading this next generation.

A deceased very good friend of mine was a prison guard at Leavenworth when he was in the Naval Infantry. Guy had some stories, I'll tell ya.
She entertained us all evening with stories about prison guard life.
She has some good ones, as well.
