dont think it matters outdoors , personal preference , besides , what if it rains the day before harvest?

me personally , I quit watering 4-5 days before harvest , it kind of depends on the weather , if it’s been real hot and dry or cool and damp , I adjust my water regime accordingly

watering the day before harvest will make for a turgid plant which I like because I trim wet

good luck and what flavors are you growing?

I have no idea what strain I have, I had a plant that was done in just 3-4 months and have a couple still growing. Was going off the color of the hairs, white to brown I was told meant it was done. But I’m not getting the smell or stickiness after they dry. I ordered a micro scope and now I’m going by the color of the triclohs, or what ever they are called.

Sounds like you are on the right track for determining finishing time.

I agree with the above on watering, I’ve chopped them both with wet pots and dry pots and didn’t really notice a difference in drying time, finished nugs etc... Healthy and fully ripe are more than enough to keep an eye on
