Will lights off hurt the plant?

I have to go out of town for 2 days during the 7th week of flower of some photoperiod plants.
I currently have them on a 12/12 light from 7am to 7pm lights off.
I am worried about electrical problems if I am away, so I was wondering if keeping the lights off for 2 days will damage them or mess them up when I resume the 12/12 lighting 2 days later.

I did that once in veg. Went away for 3 days and watered the plants, turned the lights off and left. When I came home fired up the system and in a couple of hours I noticed the plants fading. I tried everything but they slowly died. Every single one of them. I think they drowned since I watered heavy just before leaving and turning off the lights. They were fine until the lights hit them.
