Will these lights work?

I have a powersun UV 100 watt light that was given to me by a friend. I was wanting to know if the light would be enough to grow 1 or 2 plants indoors?

It states its a self ballasted mercury vapor flood lamp, it looks to be used for reptiles.

Will this light work for veg or flower state, if not what kind of lights do I need and where can they be bought?

Merc Vapor is the wrong PAR for MJ growth.
High Pressure Sodium (HPS); Metal Halide (MH); or florous to grow.
florous 3,000 lumens per sq. ft. or 50W of MH or HPS per sq.ft.

thanks mutt, your on a roll. can any of the bulbs be purchased at wal-mart?

I have the actual hood type thing the bulb plugs into, so i would just need the bulb.

I saw a 60w cfl for mv ballast at walmart. It was $20.
