Yellowing leaves

Ok. So I’m just over 7weeks into flowering and for the last couple of weeks I’ve just been giving them ph’d RO water with CalMag. It is normal to have the leaves starting to turn yellow as the plant uses up its nutrients isn’t it? I have 1 that is showing a little more than the others and I'm concerned because I’m sure I have a couple of weeks to go before harvest. Thoughts?

Yes that is normal to see soon after you cut out nitrogen from your feed. Some growers are more comfortable watching it happen than others. If you feel that it's happening too soon, you can certainly give them weak food to slow it down, and now that you've tracked your strain, next time you can schedule the end of feeding at a point Where you feel comfortable with the amount of yellow at harvest.

Thanks. It is hard watching them grow and then watch them yellow. But your right, I didn’t think about tracking that. I do keep a journal. But the buds are gorgeous. I guess that’s what counts!

Hey guys I have a question. Do these leaves look ok to y’all? I’m doing something different this grow. I use Ocean Forest soil and I heard that it has enough nutrients in it to get it through veg. So I’ve just been giving them RO water with cal mag and every other watering I use 5ml a microbe nutrient with a name I can’t use here. It begins with Fish. Seems a little yellow to me. Should I feed maybe 1/2 strength or am I imagining things. Other that they are growing fantastic. Strain is Bluefire OG

I would give them a shot of nutes. The soil does have some nutrition in it and it probably can get a plant through to flower. But with a bit more you can push it to grow bigger and faster. Probably don't need much but just a little something extra to give them a shot in the arm. Hope all is going good in your grow.

I have bags of Ocean Forest from Fox Farms in my basement pantry. I stopped using that soil, way too hot for many strains. Happy Frog Soil is more neutral, and a better medium for tender seedlings and young plants in veg. Ocean Forest is good soil to add in flower cycle, if you don't use nutes on a regular basis.
