Skimmed the cream off fresh milk to add vanilla to make ice cream on very cold morns.

I recall back when I was a kid there was a metal box on the porch where the milkman would deposit the daily deliveries of milk - in a glass jar with paper cap. On cold winter days, the cap would be pushed up
by the expanding cream.

Nice memory of the good ole days.

I remember cold ass mornings having to go to the outhouse. Nothing like cold wood on the ass and wiping with damp toilet paper or news paper.
Never used the Sears and Roebuck catalogue,,they were for reading and looking at cool stuff.
