Anyone have any experience with avo's? I've got one started, only 2 inches or so tall right now. Just wondering if they have any special needs. If they have a veg/flower cycle or just 12/12 em the whole way thru?

You'll be fine hand watering too if you want. When I did rockwools I just flooded the trays when the cubes got light. Definately ready for a transplant as well if ya got roots coming all out the bottom. You'll be glad you got the 600 watt, prb wish you had a 1000 after a couple harvests. Good luck.

hydro shop or online for the mylar and fans. For support you can do all sorts of things, if you keep em small won't really need it. I use yo yos, google hydrofarm yoyo.

Rockwool worked wonders for me for years. Yes the tops may form algae. Never hurt my plants, you can get little covers to keep light from top of cube if the algae really bothers ya. Hydrotron couldn't hurt just saying not nessecary.

They easily drink up 3 gals each from the bottom. I'm concerned that the top 4 inches of soil is still dry. These huge pots makes watering a pain. I'm used to using rockwools. :o

I used 1 Tbs per gal entire life, thats 14.79 ml per gal. Other than that I see potus is in here looking. He's sure to have a more in depth answer.

With advanced nutes I've always used a 1:1:1 ratio throughout the entire life cycle with excellent results. 1 Tbs per gal of each. Good luck.

I've heard of enzymes you can use to break down old root stuctures. I plan on reusing my medium using this method. Would there still be nute deficiencies if using nuteless medium then adding chemys?

Well off to the shop to buy some mite preds. The shop owner assured me after they eat the mites they'll die off. One of my main concern was getting rid of one bug to just be replaced by another.

Each one of my girls drinks 2 gals a piece every 3 days :eek: :eek: I can't wait to see the root system on these after harvest. They sure are pretty though. Its seems the sativa drinks a little more heavily than the rest for me.

don't know the minimun. I can tell you that when I put my first 1000 watt in the same space as two 250's I torched my girls in one day. Even with a window A/C it was like an easy bake oven. Small bathroom maybe 6 x 6 x 8. A cooled hood could've made a world of diffence though so maybe with one...

There'll always be that warm-up period when first turned on. Just run your timer when you get it 12/12 don't worry about that short warmup or cool down period. For now stick with what you've been doing switching it off manually. Get that timer asap.

Never had any probs. Never actually thought about it. But if you're concerned shave 5 minutes of your timer...couldn't hurt.
