So it is ok to switch to 12/12 before any noticible sex/flowers??????? I always thought you were supposed to wait for the plant to fully mature on its own on 18/6 before switching.

My plants are on a 18/6 light schedule at the moment and showing no signs of pre-flowers. My plan was to slowly change the time back about 30 mins every 4 days or so until 12/12 is reached. I recently topped all of my plants and when i came back to look at them not even 2 minutes afterwards, the tops had turned a brownish color. Whats going on here? is it ok?
