    Adjusting soils ph?

    Hi , I bought a good quality soil with ph range 5.5-6.5 ph. When I add some ph adjusted water at 6.5 run off water comes out at 5.9 ph. How do I raise it? by flushing plant with water adjusted with ph down to 6.8? My tab water is 8.5 BTW. Thanks in advance!
