Big Bud - Clones - Flowering

Hey all,

Have some big bud clones from two females that are now in flowering. The were only vegging for about 4 days before I switched them over to 12/12. The light is a 1000 watt HPS. Using Stoney's ebb & flow design & GH 3 part nutes. PPM is only around 200 but I'm slowly stepping them up.

looking good so far mate did you put them straight onto 12/12 with out having them on veg just they look pretty short is all looking good though

Yea the clones were only given about 4 days in veg just to adjust to being in the new enviornment and then the lights were switched to 12/12.

This was my first time at attempting to clone. I took about 10 and put them in a bubble cloner and didn't get one to survive. Then I went out and got some rapid root plugs and schultz cloning powder. About 75% rooted and out of them only about 3 died later on (mainly due to lack of care becuase they were laging behind the others).

Day 28.. Having trouble increasing the nute strength. They really don't seem to like it?!?!

Flowering Day 35...

Nope this is my 2nd hydro grow, and I'm never going back to dirt. You may be able to see in the pics, the leaves are showing a bit of nute burn. I have the ppms up to 400 and its staying there so they better just get used to it lol. Another weird thing I'm noticing is little white circles are forming on the edges of the leaves, I think its some sort of salt build up because I can just wipe it off... But other then that everything seems to be going pretty well. I'm headed out of town next Friday but I'll be sure to put up some pics before I leave.... CANNABIS CUP HERE I COME!

yeah that sounds like sodium build up...

How does your hydroton look? is it turning white as well?

Buy some Botanicare clearex, it will take care of that right away. Just add it to normal balanced water, and run for about 30 min to an hour.

Otherwise man your buds are looking good.

I have some GH Flora Kleen, I assume it will probably do the same thing, correct? The hydroton looks fine but then again I can't see where the water line is or anything. I do have a bit up salt build up on the lid of my reservoir where the overflow dumps back in. What is causing it do you think? I change the water out about every two weeks or so.

it just depends, some nutes develop sodium as a bi product more than others. (someone correct me if i am wrong)

Also depends on your water source, it can have an affect on how fast it will build it.

Yeah sounds like the same, i would use it. I use my clearex about every 2-3 weeks or so just to give the plants and the medium a nice flush and they always seem to love it and smile the next day.

great job on the grow, looks good, im curious as to how much you'll yield but then again how long do u plan on flowering them/how many weeks?
