I got these 2 6500k daylight cfls and I ordered some White Dwarf auto and Purple Haze seedsfrom attitude. These 6500k cfls give out 3400 lumens each. My query is it possible to squeeze out 2 WhiteDwarfAutos and 1 Purple. Since Im only plannin on vegetating the PurpHaze 6wks. I thought maybe I could get away wit it

That's not much light for three plants bro. What are they, wattage wise? 42 watts each? I would suggest, if you have the room in your grow cab, to buy at least two more 26 watt soft white cfl's that are in the 2700k range to supplement the flowering stage. They are cheap and will give you 3200 more watts of light total. More light, more buds. At least that will give them a fighting chance. I personally would not go with less than four 26 watters for three plants.
Keep them about two inches away from the plants, don't let them touch the leaves, they will burn them.
Good Luck bro!

Dude thanks. There 65watt each. BTW you think 1 Auto Dwarf and 1 Purple Haze will work?

For two plants it might be ok, but tell me, what size/type of grow area do you have? If it is in the range of a two to three foot square box then paint it white on the inside or glue white posterboard to the walls to reflect all the light back onto the plants. And don't forget a small fan to move the air around. It really helps strengthen the stems.

Never mind how many plants for a minute and gve us the dimensions of the grow space...3000 lumens per sqr foot for veg and 5000 lumens per sqr foot for flower is what you need to shoot for...2 cfl's putting out a total of 6800 lumens wld be good for about 2 sqr feet during veg....that's a small space...

Exactly. The more light you can squeeze in there the better!

For comparison, I have a 2 ft by 3 ft cab that I grew 8 full size plants that are kicking butt. BUT, I have 34,000 lumens bouncing around in that space. I have 4 each 2700k cfls at 1600 lumens apiece and 8 four foot fluoros at 3400 lumens each. So again, the more light you can give them the better... That works out to approx. 5600 lumens per square foot. 3000 should be the minimum you should shoot for.

I growin in a spot in my kitchen where a diswasher used to be its like 3x3 but I got a piece of cardboard bent it so itll cover the two plant on every side except the front and covered it with mylar using tacks and in the front Ill put a fan. But the total space within the cardboard is about 2x2. So gotta get some more cfls.

Thanks for info guys. Dude BTW if i got 4sq. ft. of space and 12,000 lumens Im vegetatin 3 plants in that EDIT

Gonna need a way to exhaust hot air might not be a bad idea! deff need more cfl's good luck.

Friend of mine had a grow where his old dishwasher was What he did was he got a plywood cabinet style door and put it on there. But before he drill it on he got a jigsaw and cut two rectangles about 4"X6" on the bottom and top. Top one he put metal screen to let air in and the bottom on he placed two 5" CPU fans to exhaust the air out. Dont know how he wired the fans but you can find out lookin on google or something. Peace Out!

How about using some T5 fluoros--they have a very low profile, which is important when you do not have much growing height and they put out more lumens per watt than any of the other fluoros. HTG has 2' T5s that are 55W and put out 5000 lumens. Two of the 2 tube fixtures would use 220W and put out 20000 lumens--giving you your 5000 lumens per ft. Compare that to using 6 65W CFLs (390W) to achieve 20400 lumens.
