clear plastic cup grow

someone told me that having my plants in clear plastic cups is bad because roots should not be exposed to light. they are a little less than a month old and I can see the roots along the side of the cups and on the bottoms. Is this really bad? should I bother transplanting them or are they hopeless? worried and bummed. please help.

i think they will be fine if your that worried tape paper around it
