Reading more of Clarke's Marijuana Botany (which everyone should get a copy of!!!) has raised a question I can not find an answer to.
Hybrid Vigor is referred to in Clarke's book and he states that mating homozygous plants for several generations will work to produce the desired traits, but after time will produce acclimatized plants with less vigor, and so Clarke suggests periodically introducing heterozygous plants to renew the Hybrid Vigor.
MY question is, does cloning lead to the same acclimatization as homozygous breeding? I'm guessing not, but if it does, we (cloners) could all be degrading traits over time without realizing it.
Anyone know the answer to this?
