Okay, I posted this earlier but really didn´t get any good answer, maybe it´s the question. I have heard that soil contains bacteria and fungus that is beneficial for the plant. In fact there are several products I am looking to buy to add additional bacteria and fungus to the soil. However, I believe my guano, soil, and other ferts will already contain certain amounts of this bacteria already. I would like to feed this bacteria and fungus. Here in spain it is difficult to find molasses and I sort of like the idea of fruits. I was told that you can make your own molasses with fruits. Does anyone know how to do this? If so, how? Eman??? You are the organics specialist? Have you ever done this?

I have heard that raw cane sugar, and maple syrup will work too. I believe it is simple sugars they want...I forget, basically carbon...but many eat all kinds of things...they love minerals too. Basically whatever form of sugar you use, you want as unrefined as possible. Stay away from ones with chemical preservatives and things like sulphur. Molasses is made from red beets if that helps...I have read about how they make it. I have found oriental cultures use 'bread molasses' in recipes...see if you see that in an oriental shop maybe?

Whoops...stoned...hehe. Actually I have heard of using fruit juice...just watch your ph. Citric acid is an excellent safe source for ph down so I'm guessing citrus juice might be better.

Oh yeah, I learned pretty fast you can over do it on innoculants, so follow instructions on your product...if you want to use several, that is fine too,...just split the dosages.

Thanx alot Eman!

So right now I got a mixture of strawberries, bananas, and pineapple juice drying out in the sun. I am planning to mix this in to my water tomarrow. No, I don´t expect my buds to taste like strawberries and bananas.....it is for the sugars.

KP, I actually read somewhere on this forum that if you feed your plants mango peels/ mango leaves/ mashed mango your plant will actually take on the smell and taste. Just an idea if you feel like experimenting a little.

I thought adding "molassass" was just to sweeten your bud. anyways at health food stores they have this stuff called surcanat meaning Sugar Cane Natural. This is the stuff you want to sweeten your plants. as for benifical bacteria I use a product called sub-culture made by general hydroponics and it works alright. Also you can always make a compost tea which will give your soil benifical bacteria.

Molasses adds N, K, micros and traces...in addition to feeding your soillife.

Just use an unrefined sugar, like pure cane or that health food store stuff...I like molasses because I can't get enough K late in flower...but that is just my preference.
