Hello all... i am new to this forum and new to growing as well..... i have really soaked up alot of info from all of u guys literaly staying up all night reading thread after thread... lol i just had a quick question... I currently have six fems a week and a half into flowering they are all showing plenty of white pistils now... out of 8 plants i only had 2 males :) i am using 6 65w cfls and 2 4' cool white floros and 2 4' warm floros... this is my first grow and they are really coming along nicely i want to post pics but my camera is out of commission at the moment... ne ways my question is..... throughout the vegging cycle i really didnt use much nutes i used a little blood meal to add a little nitrogen to my babys but really all in all theve been doin a hell of a good job on there own i was just wondering what u guys would recomend as far as blooming nutes... and also my plants have alot of nodes at the bottom of the plant.... should i cut these off to allow 4 airflow and more concentration on the top of the plant or should i use lst? im not really to familiar with lst read bout it a lil.... any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!! thanks guys.....

I like Fox Farm nutes but there are several that will work. I usually remove the lower, smaller branches but you don't have to. You could leave them, harvest the top buds and let those go for another week or two and they'll get bigger.

For flowering nutes you want something with low nitrogen, high phosphorus and pretty high potassium (N-P-K). If you have can go to a hydro store get some good nutes. LST is simply tying the branch down with some string to get more light to the lower nugs, I use it to control height as well. I wouldn't trim anythting off, anything you cut off now will mean less nugs in 7 weeks or so. Thank you for reading before posting!! There are alot of people out there who expect someone to hold their hand every step of the way.

That's brilliant! What a great idea. That sounds like an awesome way to maximize your yield. Makes sense since all the buds would be recieving tons of light.:)

bkram22; I wouldn't use LST at this stage, you should start training earlier on in vegetative state so everythings pretty much all tied down once 12/12 kicks in. The stems would be near impossible to bend over without snapping or stressing out the plants if LST was attempted at this stage of growth.

I have a friend who does this all the time and evrytime i'm impressed with what those lil buds turn into.
