is this all i need

I didn't see the socket and cords in the picture. I am looking at this sight here for some cheap lights. It looks like with these you will just have to wire up a cord to them.

This is a ballast kit it needs a socket and cord, and optional hood.
You cant just use a regular socket and the bulb that goes to this wont fit in a regular socket anyway.
 
if you have the 150 watt and you dont know how to set it up, its really very very simple. as long as its a 120v ballast, then you just need to get an extension cord and some electrical tape, cut the extension cord so you have the male piece (all the prongs sticking out) and some decent length of wire, then connect the wires, and poof! all done, and if you cant figure out which wires to connect, bring it to any hardware store, someone there should be able to help you out.
