lites went out during flowering HELP!!

i'm into flowering 21 days and my 1000w hps lite went out. the ballast is bad i think.
anyhow i have a ballast and bulb that is 600 hps. i hooked it up right away. the grow lost 2 hours of light, but the big concern here is i'm going from a 1000w down to 600w. grow space: 3.5' deep - 5' high - 5' wide. 7 ladies in the box (soil).
whats the danger if any. all insight will help.

Should be no danger, just a little less yeild in the end with 600 vs 1000 watts.
