i have access to these pretty sturdy plastic tanks at work...i was thinking about making one into a little veg box....do you guys think if i lined it with tin foil and with just cfl's in there the tank would melt or would it not get too hot in there...i would have a small intake and exhaust fan so i think it would be cool enough to stand up...what do u guys think??

if it is hot enough to melt plastic it is too hot to grow plants ... put your fans and light in run a day and you will know if the plastic will make a suitable vegging area with out melting down on you. most plastic containers these days are pretty sturdy with proper venting you should be fine.

thanx man im gonna try it out either 2night or 2morrow and see..

Don't use tinfoil though, it has poor reflectivity and will turn the plastic tank into an easy-bake oven. Well not literally, but it does keep in heat.
