Question about effects of over fertilizing

Ok heres my situation. i got like 8 plants going outside, and their now just starting to bud, im scared that my plants weir planted to late in the season, ( middle june, some a bit b4 ). Im now using a fertilizer called , flower bloomer, its like 10 - 38 - 10. something like that, anyways i dont wanna over fertilize them and waste the plants trying to make them flower bigger/faster. So what are the signs of a plant when its over fertilized, do the leaves die, go brown? or does the plant still look healthy but it just wont produce as well as it could have?

any suggestions?
