Question on lights??

Quick question does anyone know if putting a 1000 wt MH light bulb into a 400 wt MH Ballast would be ok?? Would there be any problems doin it?? Thanks for any info.

yes that would cause a problem, IMHO it wont work, but hey I could be proved wrong.

A 400 watt ballast wont have the power to light the 1000 watt bulb. At best the light would be dim,this could possibly damage the ballast. If you reversed it and put a 400 watt bulb in a 1000 watt ballast you would blow up the bulb.

Dont do it man, only use the correct bulb!! there would definatly be probs otherwise. stay safe bud!!
