Quick Quesion Regarding PPM and EC

Hey all,

When i first started my grow i splashed out on an EC meter, which i use mostly. I just however purchased a PPM meter and i'm wondering if there is a real difference or if they have different functions. As it is My EC meter is reading 19 or 1.9...whatever. My PPM is in the 930's.

Just wondering if one is better? Or do they serve the same purpose?
