I need a little advice about watering. Just how dry should I let the soil less mix get between watering? I know they are supposed to dry out, but how dry is dry? 
I've got a couple of different models of those moisture meters....two of them also check ph and light and the moisture setting goes from dry (when it's not inserted into anything, or if you insert it into a bag of saw dust...) to wet, the other has four blocks numbered 1-4 (see the pic). Should they get bone dry? Mostly dry? Is there a difference from newly rooted clones or seedlings, vegging, and flowering?
