Does anyone know what type size and wattage of fluorescents to use in vegatative room that has two mother plants and 4 clones growin????

yes --- t8 4ft with either 2 bulb or 4 bulb will work just fine and you can buy them from home depot or any hardware store , naturally the 4 lamps are more light but the key to this is to use cool white and warm white lamps . they make t5 florescents with 2,4,6,8, lamps but you have to get them from a hydro store or ebay

how big is your veg room .will determine what size lights you can use
and as long as you have the minum 5000 lumens per sq ft you can go with any flos or cfls ,,,have you not thought about MH :peace:

Using tubes will help cover a bigger area but they are not as intense as CFL's. IF you can do the wiring having CFL's around the sides and a few tubes on top do a good trick. Do your planning first before buying everything you need. Most of the time it can come down to you getting a better deal finding a nice 400w light, even a used one. I hated adjusting and messing with all the florescents I had before. Its so much easier just having 1 light to mess with.

The lighting you need depends on the square footage of your space, not your plant count. T5 fluoro tubes will give you the most lumens per watt of any of the fluoros. For vegging, you can probably do just fine with 3000-5000 lumens per square foot. For flowering, you want a minimum of 5000.
