Just to clarify, you cut the bottom of the cup that will be used for the seed and put that into a unaltered, (unless you add drainage), second cup. For transplant, do you hold the seed cup while you make the cuts? Then directly plant the cup and finally pull out the two side sections?

Great idea! What are a few worst case scenarios out of curiosity? What don’t you want to happen when transplanting? Do you handle it like a seed and water the pot first, then water after transplant? Sorry for all the questions, but I like your thinking.

So I started 2 seeds about 30 days ago. One seed started out messed up and looking like a goner so I tossed it in a solo cup just for giggles. Now it’s 8.5” tall and looks pretty spindly. It feels like it has a rootball. It’s also an auto and I know it shouldn’t be transplanted. What do I do?

This keeps happening to me. The first true set of leaves keep turning yellow at around 20 days. I fed 1/4 strength top dressing about a week ago and 3/4 strength today. Roots original, hlg135 rspec,78 degrees, 58% rh. 4” intake, fabric pots off the ground. What’s going on?

No, it’s a fim.

I actually did another cut further down. Saw a pic of a dude that went too high and it effectively looked like cut around the center on the leaves. First pic is the second cut and the next is 3 days later. Got a bunch of interesting things going on. I’ll update if anyone’s interested.
