I quit a pack a day habbit about 3 years ago. It was VERY hard to stop, much more so than marijuana. I tried patches and gum but found that they just prolonged the suffering. Quitting cold turkey worked best for me. Smoking more weed helped too:D

For me there was not much smell at all until about week 6 or 7 then it started to smell kind of like rotting fruit. Nothing too overpowering or skunky though.

Yep, nothing beats that upbeat high where I get a permanent Joker grin :D Are there any that are still clear at that point? I just reached 9 weeks and there is still a good 20% clear.

I use rubbing alcohol and it works good.

What a bummer man:( I remember a few years back my little brother was locked up for three months for a verbal threat. That three months seemed like an eternity. I can't imagine two years. Hopefully they will let him off earlier for good behavior like smokinmom said.
