Best Light Sealing Method for a closet door

Hey again folks, I've got a design issue that I'm curious how you guys set up your rooms to light proof them. I've been using panda film for the flowering room and it works, but it's in my basement so I don't go down there after the lights are out anyway (8pm) just to be safe, the veg room is...

    Making Rooms Light Tight?!

last night was the first night. I'll stop the flowering cycle till I've got it sealed. and runbyhemp, trust me i can do a proper job at putting up a room, i've done my share of construction in the past, so why use plywood?

    Making Rooms Light Tight?!

I've never heard of panda film, can I only find it online? are my plants wrecked because of one night of not absolute darkness? I mean its pretty dark but before when I had just one room it was DARK, now this room has a 1000watt running right next to it and there always seem to be little holes...

    Making Rooms Light Tight?!

Hey Folks, So I've finally got two rooms going, veg and flower, before I only had one going at a time. I built two rooms with a door inbetween but I cannot seem to make it completely light tight, I've used black trash bags and silicone sealing, but there is still light leaking through. Is a...

    strange leaf curl

Yeah, I've seen leaves that do that, but I was never sure what was the cause or what fixed it, it may have something to do with salt or bad pH in the soil, for me being the pH too high, which was a chronic problem my past grow, which I've read causes a drawing of moisture out of the leaves. I...

    24hr Dark Peroid After Harvest

I don't have any science to back it up, but I've heard it freaks the plant out so it dumps everything they have left into thc. I had my partner keep'em in the dark for two days last year while I was away at school and he said there appeared to be a difference. I may try a before and after...

    side lights?

Yes, it's a very good idea. Personally, I have a 400 watt hanging almost completely sideways to supplement my top lights, and the lower buds are definitely getting the light they need because of it. Obviously you'll have to figure out what fits best for your box since I have a little more...

    What could this be?!

thanks HushPuppy. I can't find anything on this website about bacteria or fungus on leaves, so I guess it's not a common problem whatsoever. I've been looking with a magnifying glass, but I maybe only saw one thing that could have been an insect on the underside of a leaf then it dropped...

    What could this be?!

Thanks, and I'll be sure not to remove so many leaves next time. I'll take a close look for some insects. Don't leaf miners live in between the top and bottom layers of the leaf, making them impossible to see? so none of you guys think this is bacteria or fungus right?

    What could this be?!

hm, i was hoping for insects vs. fungus if it has to be something, as i'm 3 weeks into flower. the little black spots are on there good, i've tried rubbing it off and it's on there good, whatever it is it's in or directly on the leaf. where can i read more about thrip? thanks RB, i'll check...

    What could this be?!

Hello again folks, It was difficult to get pictures to show what I'm seeing, so I had to take the picture with light from behind to help show the dots on the leaves. It's been spreading to a few of my plants, and so whatever it is, I remove that leaf to help keep things under control. I see...

    In Need of Diagnosis!

A few are 7 weeks old and the one shown with the nute burn i believe is about 5 weeks old. apologies in advance for some of my redundant questions, I just want to make sure I get it! :) so nutrient burn and nute lockout kind of go hand in hand? as in some nutes it needs are unavailable and...

    In Need of Diagnosis!

Hello again everybody, My crop has been coming along nicely although there have been a few bumps in the road. I've got a few plants with inter-veinal yellowing and browning/crisping at the tips and along the sides of MIDDLE and some upper leaves. I've been using Fox Farm Ocean forest soil...

To Foliar or not to Foliar that is the question

after a about 6 weeks a plant's roots begin to become less efficient at transporting nutrients up the plant, IMO I've found it to be beneficial to mist with nutrients every other week or so, but not so much with buds because yes bud rot is something to worry about.

    Be careful out there kids

lymes is most definitely curable. the longer you wait to treat it the more permanent the effects can become, like bad joints etc.

Two Problems I can't Find a Solution to...

Ok, I'll definitely follow through if they start to burn. And what does water RO and TDS mean? I'll be ready to move them into unnuted soil if need be (although i transplanted not too long ago I hope I don't have to again! ha!), but checking up on them today they're looking better...

Two Problems I can't Find a Solution to...

they are in direct light, hmm that could be it.. because it's not even that many branches per plant. but i figured their growth has slowed so it had to be either the light is too small (400watt) or the pH is locking up nutrients. If its bad pH won't it really start to show as a burn soon or...

Two Problems I can't Find a Solution to...

My watering routine is I'll fill up the container, pH it with a meter (it could be a bad meter so I'm purchasing a newer one very soon). If it's too high which is usually is, I'll lower it just a little to around 6.5. The ph down works fine, it'll hold there, but when I check the soil pH is...

Two Problems I can't Find a Solution to...

Hey everybody, This is just my first post here, and my second grow so I'm still learning a lot. I've got two problems, I've read a lot of the stickies and links here which were helpful in finding the cause but I'm still in need of a solution. First, three of my plants are starting to have...
