1st leaves drying??

i`ve grown my plants from seed.They are 8 days old ,but the leaves are beggining to dry,even before the 1st round leaves have fell off!
soil grow,using 2-25w high intensity power-glo flouros whilst they are still young.then i`ll be putting them under my 400w HPS/MH lamp.
the round ones aren`t drying;the 1st actual plant leaves are .
i`ve raised the light about 2" more.

Have you fed any nutes ? your plants may be to young. some soils have nutes to last the first 2-3 weeks of growing.

Some soils are also too hot for seedlings. What kind of soil are you using. If you are talking about the first set of leaves as in the cotyledons, this is normal. That's probably not what your talking about, but thought I should mention it just in case.
