40x microscope -vs- 40x eye loup-

When looking at the trichs under 40x eye loup , everything looks clear and cloudy ---- When look with 40x microscope , you can see a lot of amber.
1) Why ??? :holysheep:
2) Which should I go by for my done meter ?

i have noticed this in past also, except 40x vs 60x= diff amber count.??

came out awesome anyway!

Clones got mixed at birth. - could be from 7-10weeks - at week 8 now.

WetDog : I hear ya on the taste test but that will only tell me if it is good , it will not tell me if it is the best it can be ?

Neebie : I think you are on to something - 40x -vs- 40 x -- But it is obvious I have much greater detail with the microscope.

What does everyone go by - eye loupe or microscope ??

I only use an active eye 40-100x microscope. I love it and never had a problem with it! Never tried a loupe!

I actually use the eyepiece from an old telescope. It says 10 x magnification, but I think it is a LOT more defined than a 10 x eye loupe I've used.
