(Oakland, CA) -- A fire at a former fortune cookie company in Oakland, California earlier this week revealed a big-time marijuana grow operation. Oakland cops say they found over one-thousand pot plants Monday afternoon at the building located in Chinatown. Police say the Kar Mee Fortune Cookie Factory used to occupy the building that is now used to cultivate illegal narcotics. The fire did not cause serious damage and investigators hope to track down the alleged drug-dealers.
