First time grower "hydro system"

I have a supercloset with with a veggie and two flowering chambers. I germed my seeds in 1" rockwool cubes on the 13th of this month. I have six sprouted out of twenty. I am asking for some enlightenment on what is happing with my babies. I have placed the sprouted plants in my supercloner which I leave under two florensent lights. Tell me what is my next move. I have added some pics. I'll try to get a magnifling glass for closer shoots.

Hey I wish you luck,how far is your light frorm the seedlings ?Looks like they are stretching to the light.

Your lighting is either inadequate or too far away for both. You need to get a fan on your seedlings and get your ligh a lot closer. They are stretching way, way too much.

First I want to say thankx to you all that responded so quickly for my cry for help. I am starting a grow journal to help me along this journy of my first grow. I know I've made alot of mistakes so far but hey ,thats how we learn. Well I'm still hoping for atleast two of my other 14 seeds to sprout. I planted 20 and only six so far and this is day twelve. I placed my laides about two inches from the light and I hope they stop streching. I have two 20watt flo lights. I had them about 12 inches away before. I have them in a supercloner with 1' rockwool cubes. They are about half inch in the water with the pump constatly running. I wish I had the drip system or the spray system but they didn't come with the closet. I have some new pics of the set up. Thats it for now.

So Bahama... what kind of lights are you going to use for the majority of your grow? You are nopt staying with 2 20w floros right?

no I have two flowering chambers one has 400 wat hps and the other has 600

That sounds pretty good.. I just hooked up my 400w in my grow tent and was surprised at just how much light it puts out... I hve a 600w up in my attic... but the grow tent really enhances the light...

I'm wondering if i have my babies in a cloning machine with about 1' of the bottom emersed in water with the pump on will the hurt my ladies root system from forming? Because it has been about 10 days and I still only see one little root forming from only one of my six babies.

I hate to sound stupid but I've been tring to find out wat exactly does nutes mean?.. Also DWC i looked them up in my mary j dictionary and I been reading still nothing so I have to ask.

nutes = nutrents being used
DWC = Deep Water Culture

i'm also a noob but tons of diggin and reading and i hope to reduce my mistakes. there are several Grow Journals explaining DWC.

Thanks Silver Haze I won't forget that. No I haven't added any nutes, just ph the water. I just wanted to say "Success" I see some root systems forming! I am very excited one of my babies have them way down in the water another is some what down in there. I have some new pics.



Another question how long do you take before you start to ad nutes and how much do I ad with the hydro set up? I see a lot of info with the soil system but not the Hydro.

I will be honest with you... I didn't add any nutes for quite awhile with my hydro grow... then I added them slowly I think I first added them at 1/8th strength after they got bushier and had a cpl sets of leaves...

Whenever my buckets has plants it also has nutes except at flush.
Can't remember the earliest I placed a seedling into my dwc, maybe 4 -7 days, but it had a weak solution of nutes.

Wish you the best in your hydro grow. My first attempt with hydro went horrible. So horrible I went back to soil. Good luck.

I wouldn't start adding Nutes till the first set of leaves apear. Then it would be 1/4 strength for the first week. Then 1/2 the next 2 weeks. Then 3/4 to full after that depending on the grow. Till flower.
What Nutes are you using? I use Ionic. Very easy

Just added the grow medium.This is the product that i used. The directions say to use 1-2 table spoon per gallon of water i have two gallons of water and have 1 1/2 table spoons added.
