Hello, Northern California ASA Members and Friends. DEA agents and other federal agencies are very active in Humboldt County right now, and medical cannabis patients and caregivers are at risk there. It is very important that ASA collect confidential information about instances in which the DEA arrests or seizes medicine from patients or caregivers. We can often help these victims and their attorneys, and the data we collect is crucial to providing credible information to elected officials about ongoing DEA interference and intimidation in California. Similar reporting was instrumental in persuading Congressman John Conyers to challenge DEA tactics earlier this year.
