Hey everyone! Hurricane IKE is headed my way  should be here tomorrow early morning. Not going to have to evacuate BUT we did just go and buy a generator etc cause weather man is saying **** is fixen to hit da fan here.

I'm gonna go take some pictures of my girls now just incase I dont have the chance here in the next few days.

Wish us luck...Lookin like its gonna be a windy, wet, weekend for me.

good luck megan, hmmm, kinda sounds like my grand daughter in houston.is you?anywhere around sugarland?
be safe and be wise.if you need to leave, get out.

I'm further North on 35. If your Grand daughter is in Houston I sincerly hope she evacuated. I have a friend that lives in Houston and he stayed to ride it out and I just talked to him a min ago and he said he wishes he would have left with the rest of the city. Its lookin like its going to be a catagory 3 when it hits land and probably a catagory 2 when it finally hits here with me.

Be safe.. Board your windows, and make sure you have all of your bathtubs filled with water. It's for flushing toilets... not taking baths.

Get as much ICE as you can find and pack your freezer with it. ... turn your fridge all the way up and get everything super cold before it hits.

It may freeze ur milk but atleast if ur smart and keep the doors closed unless u need something, u will have milk. A generator is good, don't get gouged on one though. don't pay 1000 bucks for a 400$ generator. Trust me it happens.

ANyways. Be sure to have candles, and flashlights, or hurricane lamps and oil.

Oh last thing. Be sure u got plenty of weed, and beer ... and if you are in area prone to flooding , move everything up higher than floor level that u can .

As far as your plants go if you are out of power just leave em in the dark. make sure they get a good watering if they need it and don't mess with em unless you are out of power for more than 5 days.

I have left my plants in the dark for a long time due to hurricanes. Anyways.. have fun and be sure to stay smoked out cause being without a/c is a ....... you can fill in your favorite curse there.

Have
ICE
GAS
MEDICINE
WATER for drinking and flushing toilets
TURN UR FREEZERS UP
CANDLES, flashlights, or lanterns...
CHARCOAL, or some gas for cooking if your home is all electric.
CANNED GOODS

A good book helps too sometimes. I read my grow books during em lol.well that and get drunk as what....

have a safe ride. I will send good karma yalls way.

god bles you and hope you aresafe.just picking about the gran daughter.but she does live in houston.
nothing to play with.i rode out camille and lots before and since.the last one, katrina convinced me to go north.it gets old sleeping while sweating, hauling ice, water and sitting in line to get 5 gals of gas.
good luck and be very safe

stay safe girl. we lost everything in hurricane Georges in gulfport mississippi. wind gusts of 200+ mph. convinced us to head north.
you riding it out at home, or, are y'all heading to a shelter? ...

Wer'e not far enough south to have to leave our house BUT we are far enough south that its going right over us and its still gonna be strong. :)

hey banjo,i too lived in gulfport ms. at one time.too hot there and the casinos brought too much crime to the biloxi-gulfport area.

i hear you megan23247, supposed to get ruff around my neck of the woods too!!!!! i am getting lots of rain water, good stuff!!!!!

pul eezzee I remember fran hurriance... I was naked, stoned badly drunk, but badly of all I was naked the whole time stayed outside during hurriance storms, survied though eye, and other storm after eye left.. now I aint scare of any hurraince right now.. unless any hurraince is bigger than fran I will be prepared this time maybe lol

:hitchair: :hitchair: :yeahthat: :holysheep: when did they start letting you people in the NUT-HOUSE get on the computer??????? LOL,LOL,LOL

Well overnight the storm started turning more to the right SO were not gonna get it to bad here. Right now its just raining and windy we needed the rain. :D I was kinda hoping for a little excitement. Man Houston and Galveston sure got rocked. Over 2 Million people without electricity.

Its wild, we drove thru Galveston this time last month. Makes me soo sad to think about all the destruction. I hope the cute lil beach house we stayed in at Crystal Beach fared ok, but I have a feeling it didn't. Havent been able to find out much about Bolivar Penninsula at all. :(
