Well I wouldnt consider it a jackpot but i found 2 sativa plants out in my woods today. I was going to try to bring them in, and shock them back into growing. But I have a problem with the plants. They are showing signs of female plants *white pistals* but also show signs of a male. I believe they are hermaphrodites. They have little sacks that look like pollen sacks on them. My sisters boyfriend who also lives here and is growing says they are just imature buds. What should I do about this, I know if they stay in here, they will infect all my females.

post a pic or two so some one here will be able to tell you for sure what they are so you can get the help you need . a picture is worth a thousand words :D :D :D :D

I hear ya,
Can't stand the idea of a lone male even miles away being able to pollinate my ladies. I guess the first thing is to be certain that they don't belong to someone else. We all had a cool talk about that very thing, and I think the general idea was that we are not so decrepit that we take what is not ours.
If the grow is free and clear, and you got ladies at risk with them being there, and your wanting to take a chance with that transplant then do so.
A pic would allow us all to be of help, but that's ok if you can't. Maybe the boyfriend is right ? Might be worth a shot. You said Sativa, are you sure it's not hemp ? and not trying to stick you , but can you tell the difference ? Hemp is a modified Sativa that really doesn't bud up worth beans. I saw 8-10 foot tall plants all over Georgia during my stay in the military, and even as far north as Illinois. Stuff is all over I imagine. Oh-yeah welcome to the site friend, lots of great stuff to learn here, hope you enjoy.

Even if it is a hermaphrodite would it be possible to cut off the male flowers before they open? This would save the buds from being pollenated. It would probably cause stress to the plant but would save the female parts.........Just a thought I had?

All it would take is one miserable hidden sack to open, and
POOF.. your whole grow = SEEDY..

not worth it.. to much time and effort to let a freebie/found outside
plant to ruin it all.

I wish I could get pics right away, but having some problems. I pretty much knew it would be hard for you all to tell me anything without pics. Figured it was worth a shot though. Thanks.
