Nick Lachey Among Investors in Ohio Marijuana Grow Center

Wed Jul 15, 2015

AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio resident and former boy band star Nick Lachey is among five investors in one of 10 marijuana grow centers that would be created across the state under a proposed ballot issue.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports ResponsibleOhio is attempting to get an issue on the Nov. 3 ballot that would legalize marijuana for medical and personal use by adults 21 years or older.

The ballot issue would limit the growing to specific locations where groups of investors financing the operations own or have the option to buy property.

The 98 Degrees singer, most recently a television actor, is hoping to bring a grow center to Hudson.

ResponsibleOhio estimates the initiative would generate about $21.5 million in annual tax revenue for Summit County and its townships and municipalities.

This isn't new news, he's been on the roster of RO rip off artists and liars for a while now. Responsible Ohio is about to bite the dust. The legislator will pass the "no monopoly" rules before they even get a chance for voters to say, "screw off"

Nick Lachey should be ashamed of himself. First, for trying to push a connection to Ohio that doesn't exist. He was born in Dayton, big deal. He hasn't done anything for his town, hasn't lived there since he was a child, all he wants to do is what every other investor in Responsible Ohio wants to do, take the profits out of state.

Ohio's current decrim laws offer more protection to farmers and patients than RO's plan to send everyone to jail if they grow more than 4 plants. Note the language on home growing in their ammendment, it says you will be allowed 4 "flowering" plants. Some will say that means unlimited veg, I say it's a loophole that RO lawyers will use that will stop all home growing, because your plants can only be in "flower". You can't get to flowering without vegging, so that one word could basically put all farmers in jail.
