hey,
I have a closet setup that is in the upstairs of the house. there is a fan blowing across the plants/lights (5 23 watt cfls and 4 LED pannels) and a exaust duck that has a fan blowing out, creating draw in the closet. 6 small clones that are still rooting are confined to the 2'x3' closet. the thermometer normaly registers around 85 when the closet is open and 92 when it is close, but now it has shot up to 100. it is pretty hot outside right now being summertime, but this cannot be good. are there any ways of cooling a closet system like this (ideally stealthy and energy efficient)? and what are the effects/ problems with overheating? any words of advice are much appreciated.

Hello firsttimegrwr- Welcome to MP.

Some plants can survive and thrive under such conditions, others cannot. It is pheno/strain dependent. If there is no way to supply cooler air to your space, the most important thing you can do (short of adding CO2) is to provide a steady flow of fresh air to your grow space. Surely the ambient temperature outside your grow space is cooler. Providing fresh air will help your plants through proper transpiration and respiration and if they haven't keeled over already, should get them through the heat wave.

There are some great tips in the DIY section of the forum here that should help you solve this problem. Good luck to you.
