Should I replace/wash this pre-filter?

You're looking at a 40cm carbon filter with Ø150mm intake (500-650m3/h). It's about 2 years old, but was only used for about 7 months.

I want to know if I should bother doing anything about the dirt because it could be a hassle.

I would clean it but that's just me. Growing can be a hassle but usually worth the hassle when you harvest some dank

Yep, I'd wash it. If I used filters, I'd have two; one to use and one to rotate when I washed the first one.

These two told me the same thing a few months ago. I'll soon have a extra one to swap out. So until then I pull it off after every grow and wash it in hot soapy water. Bam!! Back in action.

I noticed my temps going up with a dirty pre filter. Cleaning it regular works great for better air flow.
