Hiya Stoners!

I just wanted to invite you to join me on alittle adventure I like to call "The Beatbox Growroom" I have been a DJ and I have traveld from Coast to coast and spent allot of time DJing all types of clubs and raves. But I am retired from DJing and now I spend allot of time making money. So I don't have as much time as I used to for making music.

But I would love to share with you my experiments in The Beatbox Growroom.

I don't have any preconcived notions about what music should be. I create music like a work of art and not like lyrics to be read. I ask that you instead read bettween the lines and take the time to somke a big fat bowl and go on an Audio journy with me. Listen to music that noone has ever listend to before and experience the Beatbox Growroom.

I'm a dj also, I play everything from trance to techno:D
Ive done a few raves and full moon parties in my day also, cant remember much about those nights on the beach or the forests were we used to have those parties lol!

I do. They really are some of my fondest memories. I really used to do allot of acid and mushrooms back in those days. I don't do that anymore but somtimes I would really like too.

I remember Enigma very well back in the day before I ever even played music I was listening to them So i guess you can some they have provided some insperation for me. I have played lots of differnt types of music for differnt crowds but the ambient downtempo is what I tend to produce. I can DJ anytype of music and I have been thinking I should post a DJ mix.

If anyone has a Genra of music they like. Just let me know and I'll make a mix for you and post it online. I think It would be really fun.

I thank you all because its nice to hear kind words about this music. Your listening to music that really noone has ever listen to before. I have lots more music still on my beat box I just havent had time to master the songs to the computer. I hope you guys stay tuned for some new stuff I am working on.

Smoooth stuff..I like the Sonic Sounds Remix :bongin:

Join me as I rescue beats from a dieing sequencer.

I have dedicated my new album to my old and busted MC-505 Groove box. Unfortunately time and punishment have led to the demise of one of my favorite friends the MC-505. After many years of frustration I finally replaced my old and dieing Roland MC-505 Groove box. And I feel like one of my best friends has died. But since I lost my old friend I have since gotten a new supermodel porn star LOVER.. YA BABY YA!! The Roland MC-909 And let me tell you this ***** is FINE FINE FINE she thumps like low-rider convention and she has her own 7 by 5 Backlit LCD screen with editing software built in. She samples beats and even breaks them up into drum kits. She is fully expandable with SRX expansion cards. She also uses smart media cards for storing and transfering digital sound and MIDI. SHE HAS USB!! She has Digital everything and she's built for speed and performance. The List of features goes on and on and on. Did i forget to mention that she has 3 multi effects processors as well as independent compression and Reverb!!!! (And your thinking OH YES this means nothing to me) But im still going to brag.

A few words about the dieing Groovebox. Since I got my 909 I haven't hardly looked at my old 505. But it was only recently I discovered I had so many un recorded songs on the old 505. And even though the thing is totally messed up I didn't want to loose any of this music. My MC-505 has traveled coast to coast and it has NEVER failed to turn on when I needed it. I have taken this Box with me to almost every kind of party you can possibly imagine. Here is a short list of places my Groovebox have traveled in its lifetime.

Many times I have played music for outdoor raves..

Dripping Rainforests of Hawaii

Sandy Hawaiian Beaches, including Waikiki, Honolai, North Shore, The Big Island, Atop Haliokula, A dead Valcano on Maui.

Almost every nightclub on Oahu.

California Coastal Beach Parties.

Once we went and played at a party in the California coastal redwoods.

The Burning Man Festival.

Clubs and Raves of Losangels.

Clubs and Raves of Sanfrancisco

Many other clubs in states in the US I don't even remember.

And those are just the places I remember. I have tortured my groove box with everything from Rain, Extreme heat, Dirt and Dust, Mud, Sand of course. Its been knocked, kicked beat on and once my Xgirlfriend even threw it at me. Its had 2 LCD screen replacements and has also had all of the note keys replaced twice. The Cutoff and Res knobs have also been replaced once. Its has been professionally cleaned 4 times by a music shop and twice by myself. Its been taken apart completely and put back together at least 8 times. With repair costs totaling over $1000.00 over the life of the box.

The current state of the Groovebox. My good old box is totally messed up now. Most of the track mute buttons don't work anymore. None of the volume sliders work anymore. That also means that I can't changes effects or reverb or the delay. The only buttons that still work well are the drum parts but even they sometimes don't mute when I want them too. Its got a totally broken res knob that disable the entrie tweaking section for patches. So basically is almost impossible to control and almost impossible to get the correct timing when attempting to record to disk.

Despite all these problems I have been attempting to record allot of previously unheard music. But the problem is the box is so messed up none of the songs are going to be what they should be. So that means allot of work will have to be done post-production.
(Adding drum breaks and cymbals)
(Adding pads and sound effects.)
(Adding sampled vocals and what have you.)

So far in my effort to get all the music off this box before it stops working permanently have gone surprisingly well since I can hardly control anything on the box. So once all this work is done I will be dedicating my new album to the old Goovebox. I also realize now that the old box had a unique sound that's unlike any other keyboard I have owned or know of. And as I move on to my next sequencer I miss some that patches and songs (Patchs meaning sounds) I have written for them. Since the guys at Roland can be idiots. None of my old music will transfer to my new MC-909 CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT!
I need a new MC-505 to compliment my 909 and so I can transfer the tons of beats and sounds I still have on my old box.

Here are some beta mixs from the old and busted 505. There is still plenty of post production work to be done here. I have a total of about 15 more songs to try to get off this thing.

If any artists would like to take a crack at remixing you are welcome too do so but please contact me first. None of this music can be distrubuted or sold in anyway. I currently have copywrites pending.

The Shiny Object - The Shiny Object (My frist ever self titled song.)

The Shiny Object - Hydro Blues

The Shiny Object - Silhouette

The Shiny Object - Opening Heaven

The Shiny Object - Tesla

I have lots more songs to post but I wana see what kind of a response I can get off of thease few.

Yeah man you should post up a mix,I'll listen to it anyway!
Those days of raveing out in nature have been the best memories I ever had (from what I can remember anyway lol)
We used to hold parties and get raided EVERY time by the cops but by the end all they did was confiscate our mixer and when they left we pulled out the spare lol!
