No, actualy an estuary is half salt/fresh water system depending on the tides...I was thinking in the sennse that water from one system impedes an other for a 12 hour period and rotates as the tides do...light/dark...12/on 12/off. It seems to make sense and my girls are responding well...

Is there an average PPM for all Marijane strains or does it vary greatly? Also, doesn't constant waterflow act as an esturay in an Eb & Flow system..mine are thriving. Your advise and experience...could I be doing more harm than good..Help.:) Buddha 65

Well boys, your ideas about the 15 min. per hour have been helpful...but I have gone to a 8 hour continuous water feed with a 1 hour break in between sessions. Production...1 1/2 in growth a day if not more. Drinking a lot of nuts...but its worth it. Will keep you posted. Buddha65

Mutt, is it normal to have a very thin layer of green algea in my E&F tray. I understand biology, but is it harmful algea? And when the water from the res is not flowing, can my HID dry out the exposed roots? Buddha65

I have been running my system with the same nuts at 1 hour intervals 5xdaily at an 18 hour light cycle the first 8 weeks then adjust to a 12 hour cycle...good results so far. You may want to invest in a proper PPM/PH meter when resing. Good luck
