Instead of carring pounds and pounds of soil to my grow space in the outdoors, How do I prepare the soil already there at the plot?

I have 7 outdoor plants that are about 1 foot tall and most of the leafs have holes in it, In the middle and on the edge. I saw a couple slugs around my plant so I put eggs shell at the bottom and that did not work, What else can I do?

Has anybody heard of this strain?

Hey glopal Id get some more 23 watters, maybe 2 more. Put the lights closer to the pot. Also Id build a wood box rather then a carboard box IMO it can cause alot of problems. I'll wait till the plants are anywhere between 2-4 weeks old and then Id toss them under to 400.

Yea I can bring soil there but I thought why do that when I can use the soil there! Ok what If I bring pro mix there and mix the with half if the soil in the ground there? And lay mulch on top of the soil to keep moisture in the soil!

Can I use the soil already in the ground at my site?
