    The purps update.... "new pics"

I chop my kilos up for a medium.....:ignore: JK It is stirofoam. I have been using this for a sub-medium with rockwool for quiet some time and I love it. The color of stirofoam is flat white so it is an excellent reflector of light for the lower branches. Also it is not an absorbant material...

Are strong smelling plants the 50-50s?

This is a very interesting thought! My last grow was Train Wreck and it had a very strong smell. One crack of the container and the whole house would wreek. My current grow is Supposed to be all Purple Kush, but There may be a Blueberry or two in the mix considering the place I got the...

    The purps update.... "new pics"

Here are some new pictures taken in the dark cycle. Looks as though my PH has gotten a little low, I can't tell . I do not want to mosey around in the dark so I will have to wait till later. Maybe they are just being lazy or perhaps they were just sleeping. :) Feel free to add some opinions!!;)

    "Light Trimming"

No. From the way I have been told, keep the plastic coating on the rockwool cubes. When the time comes for the roots to grow out of the cube they will grow out from the bottum. When the root becomes exposed to the light it stops growing. This is what I have been told is Light Trimming. The tip...

    "Light Trimming"

Has anyone ever tried the method of "Light" Trimming? The way to do so is to allow plants that are grown using rockwool go uncovered. The roots will eventually grow through the cubes and supposedly when the light hits the roots they will stop growing. Do note that the plant does not suffer any...

Need some advice for hydro ebb & flow in rockwool.

Hey Stoney Bud, I will take some pics tonight when the lights come on of the entire system. One thing I noticed about my issues was overwatering. I was advised that overwatering was not possible when using rockwool by itself. This is untrue. I switched my timers down to 2 min on and 2...

Need some advice for hydro ebb & flow in rockwool.

Yea I know the way I am doing seems to be a little extreme and in my opinion it is. The truth is my bro in law convinced to try this method. He does it this way and gets 3 to 4 ozs per plant!!! But then again he has been doing it this way since the death of moses! Besides he lives about a three...

Need some advice for hydro ebb & flow in rockwool.

I am using 20 gal resi and I have 7 Purps that I am getting ready to flip. I have been using this method for about four years except I have recently changed my medium. In the past I always used 50% coco and 50% perilite. I am now 100% rockwool. My room is a 12 by 8 closet and I am very...
