    Male Clone Hell

Only a few of my first set of clones turned out to be female. I am re-growing my clones to fill my system. I don't know how I stressed them out so bad, I had them covered in my aeroponic system, stuck into little holes in the mylar cover so the business-end was in the mist, and misted the tops...

Benefits to 18:6 versus 24:0 during vegetation?

Thanks everyone! Interesting responses... The light bill does not bother me... I want big nugs and it's a small price to pay in comparison :D It took me 2 months to grow my 3 mothers, and WOW :O they were big mommas. I got a lot of clones from then. I had them on 24:7, and luckily they were...

Benefits to 18:6 versus 24:0 during vegetation?

I have been reading around, and I cannot easily find an answer to this one... Are there ANY benefits to using the 18:6 light cycle versus the 24:0 cycle during vegetation? Cheers!:fly:

    BIG clones from plants?

I would have to say that that would violate the 1/3 rule about cuttings. If you take more than 1/3 of the mother for clones, you will probably kill the mother. The clones should be fine though.

    Cloning Guide For Dummies

Do clones respond better to flourescent light, or is it even advisable to use my HPS? HICK! - You are so right dude. Making your cuts UNDER WATER is key... For anyone who wants to see an example; my florist taught me this. Take two roses, cut one out of water, the other UNDER water (both at 45...

    An idea on CO2 Generation

Great info Hick... Are you saying that it is really NOT necessary to ventilate at all during "lights out"? That could save me a few bucks :D

    Aeroponics And Timers?

Crazy Horse, yeah, I run an Aquamist system. I just got it about a month ago, so I have not embarked on the cloning education yet, but I tried to sprout seeds in it and it did not work so well. I have made a cloning box with flourescents. That works well with little cost. In Aeroponics, it is...

    An idea on CO2 Generation

Thanks for the help hick, So what you are saying is that during the dark period, I would be better off just leaving the ventilation running, rather than sealing it off and using a burner to generate CO2? Under what conditions would it be benificial? I hear people rave about how much CO2...

    Cleaning Hydro Setup

I have been keeping a light sprinkle of Borax detergent on the floor of my room, and in a house with a history of spider mites, I have not seen anything yet (Frantically knocking on wood). Has anyone else tried this?

Leave your pump on 24/7. Don't risk letting them dry out.

    An idea on CO2 Generation

An idea struck me and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried it? I did some research on Wiki and found this... "Propane undergoes combustion reactions in a similar fashion to other alkanes. In the presence of excess oxygen, propane burns to form water and carbon dioxide. C3H8 + 5 O2 → 3...

    Nute burn or Phosphorus deficiency???

Thank you so much for the input Wes (and everyone else), I really appreciate it. Now that everything is doing MUCH better, let me explain a little about my setup. I am using an Aquamist IV Aeroponics system, and my girls (hopefully) are just over a month old from the day the seeds cracked. The...

    Nute burn or Phosphorus deficiency???

Just to give you an update, they are looking much better and have not really slowed down from what I can tell... However when I changed everything out, I checked the PH and it was 5.5-6 (yesterday) and today it was OVER 7!!! Apparently there was a LOT of algae, and since they eat nutes, they...

    Nute burn or Phosphorus deficiency???

Ok, here is what I think happenned... When I added water a few days ago I tested everything. The PH was like 5.5 or close to it, the PPM was right around 350 (I am using FF Grow Big). I am using an aeroponic system and I did not have all the light leakages covered and noticed some algae growing...
