ALGEA ??? do I leave it or not???

I had a friend bring in some plants from outside, He felt bad for them it has been cold here. WELL... now we have algea on them and the other seeds the were kept with. I said TOSS EM ALL. One person wants to treat them. And the other wants to leave them. I have read things on both sides. any advice.

Sounds like too many know about the grow. Take advantage of the algea as an excuse, toss them out, and start another time without anyone else involved.
